"Stardust puppies did very well at the Irish Setter Club of Southern California's specialty.  At seven months  old, Hoagy  (Stardust How High the Moon) took 2nd and Hamish  (Stardust Strike Up the  Band) took 3rd in the class in dogs in Sweepstakes and Star (Stardust Swinging on a Star at Majestic) took third in bitches in Sweepstakes.

In regular classes Beau (Stardust It's a Sin to Tell a Lie) took second to the Winners Dog and Hoagy took third in the class.

In bitches, the girls went 1 (Stardust Polka Dots and Moonbeams), 2 (Stardust Kentucky Moonglow) and 3 (Stardust Swinging  on a Star at Majestic)  in their class with Phoebe winning reserve.  It was a very good day for the Stardust litter kids.

On their sixth month birthday, Stardust How High the Moon (Hoagy) and Stardust Swinging on a Star at Majestic (Star) competed in their first show, the ISCSC supported entry at Lake Mathews, California.  Both puppies won their class and Star won Best Opposite in Sweepstakes and Best Puppy.   The next day their littermates Stardust Moonlight Serenade (Bix) and Stardust Polkadots and Moonbeams (Phoebe) won their classes.  Not bad for their first time out in the "real world."

Stardust Witchwynd Kentucky Moon (Lucas) came in second in Veteran Dog at the National in June.  Lucas has been shown only once since he won his championship and at 9 he was entered just for fun.  I doubted he would even remember what to do since he had finished so quickly.  I was so wrong.  He took to it as if he had never left.
